The Alhambra terrazzo emerges as a combination of glass bottles and marble, cement and coloured resin, a contemporary reinterpretation of the ceramic glazed walls of the Alhambra interiors. It also recalls the material created by Shiro Kuramata in 1983, a mixture of terrazzo with glass fragments, under the influence of the Memphis Group’s design style.
Ceramics Cu, is a collection of pieces created in ceramic, copper, and silica with an innovative technique wherein, as a sort of alchemy, each piece is transformed into a new object in which colours and ornate limes emerge in unique formation by way of the firing process. The copper is applied using a circular weaving textile machine specially modified to be able to weave using variables of height, rotation, speed, thickness of copper wire and type of knot.
